Ché Williams, Counseling Intern

Utilizing a trauma-informed approach, I understand how trauma and life struggles can shape the way we see ourselves and the world around us. Rather than focusing only on symptoms or behaviors, this approach seeks to understand how past traumatic experiences may be impacting a person emotionally, psychologically, and physiologically. My integrative and person-centered approach utilizes techniques that support healing, emotional regulation, and overall well-being. I believe in meeting clients where they are, using mindfulness, psychoeducation, and cognitive-behavioral strategies to create meaningful change. My work is grounded in empathy, safety, and a deep respect for each person’s unique story.

About Me: I’m from Philadelphia—a place that shaped my resilience, my voice, and how connection keeps us going when it gets hard. I served in the U.S. Air Force, where I learned discipline, adaptability, and what it means to show up for people in tough moments. But over time, I felt a pull I couldn’t ignore. I left the military to follow my passion: to become the kind of support I didn’t often see growing up.

I believe mental health is essential, not optional. I believe that healing begins when we feel seen, heard, and safe enough to tell our truth. My approach is grounded in mindfulness, compassion, and the belief that every person deserves care that meets them exactly where they are. I know what it’s like to feel out of place, to carry the weight of things you didn’t ask for, and to wonder if anyone really understands. That lived experience drives my commitment to creating a therapeutic space that is warm, nonjudgmental, and rooted in empathy. I’m here to hold space, offer tools, and walk beside you as you build a life that feels more whole and more true to who you are.
