FAQs

  • Our standard fee for a 50-minute private pay therapy session ranges from $125-$185, but session rates vary based on the credentials and specializations of each clinician. We also offer a sliding fee scale for clients who qualify, with session costs ranging from $50 to $85. This range depends on your household income and family size. Those who would like to pay using their medical insurance typically will only be charged their applicable co-pay.

  • To qualify, you'll need to provide documentation of your household income and family size. This may include the first page of a recent tax returns or pay stubs. Typically, individuals with annual household income under $70,000 may qualify for our sliding fee scale program.

  • There are several reasons you might choose to pay out of pocket:

    • Privacy: Paying privately ensures that no mental health diagnosis is reported to your insurance company. This is important for individuals who want to maintain maximum confidentiality and avoid a pre-existing condition on their health record.

    • Flexibility: When you pay out of pocket, you have more control over the type of therapy you receive and the duration of your treatment. Insurance companies may limit the number of sessions or the specific therapeutic modalities they will cover.

    • No Diagnosis Required: Insurance companies typically require a formal mental health diagnosis to cover services. Paying out of pocket means you don't need to meet a diagnostic criterion to receive care.

  • Yes, we accept a variety of insurance plans. We are currently in-network with Anthem/Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS), Aetna, United Healthcare, and Cigna. Please call our office with your insurance information, and we can verify your benefits and coverage details.
