Bernadette Forbeck, APC
I am inspired by the incredible ability we have to grow and heal. We all have ‘stuff’ from our past, from our now…and that ‘stuff’ affects our day-to-day living. I believe when we learn to recognize what is happening inside of us, we can make better choices that lead to peace and joy. I am passionate about working with children (and their parents) and couples.
Children have this pure way of seeing what many adults overlook. They feel deeply and are more perceptive than we realize. I sit with children with the intention of seeing them. By doing this, I can support parents in understanding and meeting the needs of their children. I collaborate closely with parents, offering thoughtful guidance and support in developing parenting skills that gently invite reflection and growth—even in areas that may not initially seem in need of change. My goal is to provide compassionate, evidence-informed care that nurtures the well-being of children and fosters resilience within the entire family.
To support couples, I am a Prepare/Enrich facilitator and am trained in Levels 1 & 2 of the Gottman Method. I find it a genuine privilege to work with couples at all stages of their relationship. In our work together, we thoughtfully explore ways for the couple to enhance communication, deepen mutual understanding, support one another through challenges, and make intentional changes that promote a more connected and satisfying partnership.

About Me: We all go through seasons when we feel like everything is going our way, we are light and on top of the world; then there are seasons when we feel we cannot take ‘one more thing’ - these are very real experiences. And carrying the weight of our circumstances is difficult. Having someone to ‘see’ us in these moments is essential. Someone to assist in identifying the emotions and recognizing our innate ability to grow and heal. Whether working with children or adults, my style is fluid. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy combined with appropriate interventions tailored to each client to meet them where they are.
