Vanessa Joseph, APC
Every person that I have been honored to sit with has one thing in common: they are doing their best. It is so hard to be doing all that you can and somehow not get to where you truly want to be. If we must journey through life, then let’s at least get the support we need when the going gets rough. I am honored when someone takes the leap to share parts of their story/journey with me; whether it be to talk through trauma, substance abuse, relationship issues, and depression. When we meet I will take the person centered approach. It allows the therapeutic relationship we’ve created to help heal and restore what's broken. In its place is a person empowered to believe they can overcome.

About Me: As you search for your next therapist I’d like to give you an opportunity to get to know a little about me. I have been blessed with a life that has given me a range of emotional experiences and opportunities to connect with people and myself in ways that I would not have expected to connect. Admittedly it was not easy, while going through these many encounters--I felt wildly misplaced. I can look back now and see how they all contribute to the work I love to do now as a counselor.
I am a 2nd generation American, familiar with the rural and urban American way of life, whose father was in the military, and has a complex relationships with family and friends. All the things I have been exposed to has allowed me to build compassion and nuanced understanding of the many ways of life and beliefs. From there I can teach and guide my clients to wellness and self-acceptance. Here's more: I am a foodie, friend, nature lover, sister, adventurer, daughter, home cook, teacher and possibly a future therapist who would like to get to know you too.
